A friend asked me to create a Kawaii-style illustration celebrating his tortoiseshell cats. Two of the cats, Bamboo and Shadow, have passed, so I designed them as ghost cats, with Mabel, their current cat, featured in the center. Each illustration reflects the cats’ individual personalities and markings.

My focus was on creating a composition that is playful and expressive, true to each cat’s personality, and prepared for high-quality printing. This project allowed me to combine the crafts of storytelling, character design, and production workflow into a cohesive and meaningful illustration for my friend.
