Growing up, I always liked video games, but it was not until I entered adulthood that I was introduced to The Legend of Zelda. Once I got a taste of the amazing story-telling, game development, and character design, I became a huge fan. So far, I have completed Ocarina of Time, Skyward Sword, Link’s Awakening, and Breath of the Wild. I am halfway through The Wind Waker, but I unfortunately misplaced the gamecube cartridge, so I am hoping to revisit that eventually. I can’t wait to start playing Tears of the Kingdom, but I started Majora’s Mask a few weeks before it was released, so I have to finish that first (I’ve been trying to complete all the classics).

The Legend of Zelda has been such an inspiration to me, and it really got me interested in learning more about character art and design, as well as concept art and storytelling - I learned to love and appreciate exploring the imaginative worlds that others dreamt up and shared with the rest of us. With that said, I wanted to work on a simple project where I could create emotes inspired by a character that I love, but in my style. The goal with these was to combine fandom with learning, and I tried to focus on emotion, as well as keep a consistent style. I wanted these icons to be obvious in their expression, playful, fun, and bold. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them!
